I am the granddaughter of Josie (Josphine) Lee Westbrook, 1891-1968. She was the daughter of Pleasant "Pleas" Westbrook(s) and his first wife, Maranda Lee Dora MURRAY.
She had 6 brothers and sisters and a much younger half brother. She first married her (first) cousin, Walter MURRAY about 1913. They had two children, William and Ruby. They were divorced in 1920 or 1921 and she met and married my grandfather, Charles Christopher Head Sr. (1879-1965). They moved to Phoenix Arizona and they had two children , Charles Jr. (1922-1999) and Gertrude, 1924-. Gertrude is my mother. Are there any Westbrooks looking for links? I do remember her saying she belonged to a Baptist church that didn't have nails. The wood was joined by wooden pegs. She seemed to be from the Homer area.
