I am looking for any information on a Belle Elwood (Burrows). Belle is listed on the 1900 US Census living in Lynn Creek, Nouxbee, MS with John Burras (Burrows), Sarah Williams Burrows, and Sarah's 3 Williams sons. The family had been living on a farm in Washta, Cherokee County, Iowa in 1895 and moved to Mississippi around 1897. The family story was that Belle was adopted. I do have several pictures of her as a little girl and then a young woman. The census lists her birthplace as Michigan and that her parents were born in Canada (English). Mr. Burrows died in 1908 and haven't been able to find an obituary that would list his relatives. I would love to be able to find any information as to whatever became of Belle.
