RAILEY -- FROM HOLMES TO BAY COUNTY

Surnames: Railey, Raley, Pitts
I am looking for any descendants of Joseph Edward Railey (1883-1918); Eli "Dutch" L. Railey (1887-1969) and Charles W. Railey (1895-1957) who live in the Bay County area. Joseph, Dutch and Charles were all born around Holmes or Washington Counties, and their families "migrated" to Bay County. They were all the sons of William C. Raley and Mary Ellen Pitts. William's father was Wilson Lumpkin Raley, Sr., the brother of my gggf, Benjamin M. Raley. Notice that I have spelled the surname both with an "i" and without. Apparently, most of William C. Raley's descendants used the "i" in the last name.

I am happy to share my Raley research (including a pension application from the Indian Wars that includes reference to the correct spelling of the last name) with any of my Railey relatives in Bay County. In return, I hope you will help me "fill in the gaps" in my research of the Bay County Raileys.
