When I generate a chart it sometimes splits off a second tree, showing one member twice with both instances surrounded by a dotted box, and a second small tree off to the side consisting of the second incidence of this person with his ancestors. There's plenty of room to show the ancestors in the normal position as part of the main tree, and I haven't figured out why this sometimes happens and sometimes not. I'm using FTM 2012, in case it matters.
