Michael Meeth, 64, died at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, at his home, 148 North Macy Street, after a long illness.
Born in St. Michael (Washington Co, Wisconsin) on June 22, 1879, he had been a resident of this city for 24 years. He was married in Milwaukee in 1909 to Ida Mayer, Shawano, who died in 1920, and some years later married Miss Margaret Friedel of this city, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Wagner, Bischoff Street; three sons, Sylvester, West Bend, Staff Sergt. Raymond Meeth, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Tech. Sergt. Ervin Meeth, now overseas; two grandchildren, Dolores Ann Wagner and Gary Michael Meeth; six sisters, Mrs. Barbara Singshime, Mukwonago; Mrs. Mary Hertel, Sheboygan; Mrs. Joseph Rodenkirch, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Frank Schlueter, Milwaukee; Mrs. Clarence Weinert and Mrs. John Van Beek, West Bend; two brothers, Peter, Waukesha, and Jock, Lake Geneva.
The body is lying in state at the Murray Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, the very Rev. Peter W. Gersbach officiating . Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery. (Estabrooks is 3 or 4 miles west of town on Estabrook Rd between Highway 23 and Scott St - extended.)
