Henry Hill is my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather and was baptized on 17 July 1806 in the parish church, Stockport. His baptism certificate states that he is the son of Thomas and Mary Hill, both of Bredbury. I know that he had a brother, William who was born in 1808 and died in Manchester in 1862. Unfortunately, the baptism certifcate of Henry does not give the maiden name of his mother Mary. I have searched the IGI and have come up with the possibily of Mary Hadfield who married a Thomas Hill in November 1805 in Stockport. This is the only marriage that seems to fit but obviously I cannot be certain. Does anyone have this Henry Hill in their tree? I would like to know for certain his mothers name so that I can go back further. Any help or advice would most gratefuly recieved.
