I am originally from Ireland I am looking for some information on my fathers side of the Crean family.This relates to his father's, brothers and sisters who immigrated to the states in the late 1880's. What I do know is that my great grandfather was Thomas Crean from Ballinagare,Castlerea co Roscommon who married Bridget Burns from Fairymount co Roscommon. From this marriage I know that my grandfather Tom Crean (my father's dad) and his brother Patrick remained in Ireland while his sister Bridget, and brothers Martin and John immigrated to the states. I feel that there may have been other siblings, perhaps a Jim and Mary, but I am are not sure.We do know that they reached America as my father remembers his Dad saying that a brief period of correspondance did occurr shortly after their arriving in the United States. This did not continue for long. I am trying to establish what happened to my lost relatives. Any informaion appreciated.
