The IGI (NA) shows a JULIA ANN REED born in Concord, Cabarrus Cnty, NC, in 1825, but no further information on her. My gggrandmother was JULIA ANN REED (b.1825-d. 1911). I do not know if these are the same Julia Ann Reeds.

My ancestor married ABNER PACE in Guilford County, NC in 1843. He was born in 1821 and in 1837 apprenticed as an orphan to the saddlemakers Hiatt & Jean of Guilford; he was 16 years of age. After their marriage in 1843, they moved to Salisbury, Rowan County, NC, and in 1844 had a son (JOHN FLETCHER PACE - 1844-1901). Father and son both died in Rowan County, but after 1901 JULIA ANN REED went to live with a granddaughter in Greensboro, Guilford Cnty, NC (Maggie Pace Woodard), and Julia Ann Reed Pace died there in 1911.

Does the name JULIA ANN REED tie in with anyone's research in Cabarrus? We know there were many Reeds there, as well as in both Guilford and Rowan counties. But we cannot locate the names of the parents of either JULIA ANN REED or ABNER PACE.
