PJ: 12/5/1995: Ruth L. Porter, 46, of 190 Fairmount Ave., Jamestown, formerly of Hubbord Trailer Court, Forestville, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday (Dec. 4, 1995) in her home.
She was born June 9, 1949, in Westfield, the daughter of Marion E. and Martha G. Woodard Dorman Sr.
Surviving are : four daughers, Sherry Porter, Tammy, Brenda and Christine Seekins, all of Jamestown; two sons: Francis W. Porter Jr. of Jamestown and Gary Porter Jr. of South Dayton; 13 grandchildren: Andrew and Brandon Flagg, Eric, Tamie, Robert, Tonya, Sharlene and Jacob Seekins, Aaron, Athena, Krystal and Kacli Porter, all of Jamestown, and Melissa Porter of South Dayton; her mother of Jamestown; eight sisters: Edie Elimers, Diane Rutland and Shirley Schiviechler, all of Jamestown, Patricia Soboe of Watts Flats, Martha Senear of Kennedy, Rosie Brunot of Tennessee, Margie London of Texas and Barbara O'Mar of Florida; three brothers: Eugene Ranney, Joseph and William Dorman Sr., all of Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis W. Porter Sr., on March 19, 1995; a son, Robert Porter in May 1978; three grandchildren: Nathan Porter on Oct. 18, 1985, Ryan Porter on April 16, 1988, and Travis Flagg on Aug. 7, 1991; and a brother, Marion E. Dorman Jr., in 1960.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Mary Lee Krahn, Hospice Chautauqua County chapter, will officiate. Burial will be in Webster Cemetery in Leona.
