Herbert Rama, 24, of 50 Glen Road, was charged with reckless driving, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest Sunday. He ran 3 stop signs and traveled at speeds up to 70 miles per hour in San Marin during the early morning hours, police said. The pot was allegedly discovered in a box under the driver's seat. Taken to Marin County jail, Rama allegedly became violent and had to be subdued. He was placed in the holding room, but had to be transferred to a padded cell when he began banging his head on the concrete wall, police said. Bail was set at $500.00

Herbert Daniel Rama was known as Dan Rama and was born as Manfred Zamoryn on 23 May 1953, in Germany, He was adopted by Americans at the age of 3.
