Looking for Information on the family of Dr. Elijah Stanton
b. 27 June 1780, Stanton's Hill, Albany Co., NY
d. 30 August 1875, Lent Hill, Cohocton, Steuben Co., NY
son of Nathan and Sarah (Cogsdil) Stanton who came from Preston, New London Co., CT

was married several times, especially interested in his first wife Maria "Polly" LeRoy. I feel the LDS data is inaccurate as to her DOB being 1767 and the Maria LeRoy also being born in New Platz, Ulster Co., NY in 1781 more probable.
