I am looking for information on Mary Amanda adoptive surname Campbell. Better known as Mary Amanda (Mollie) Reich as an adult. Specifically I am looking for her real birth parents. The story goes that she was left as an infant on the door step of the Campbell residence in Illinois. The Campbell family decided to raise her and gave her the birth date of December 25, 1846 and named her Mary Amanda Campbell. Mary is Cherokee Indian decent. I would also like information on the Campbells family that adopted Mary. I believe Mary's real parents story needs told. It is purposed that Mary's adoptive mothers name was also Mary and her birth place Ireland, she was a farmer with no husband who lived in Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Illinois. Possibly Mary was left with her in 1846 (hence the chosen birthdate) but this information is speculation only.
