William "Billy" David Greer was born 6 July 1830 in Georgia and died 21 January 1896 in Cooke Co. TX. His wife Eliza Jane Barnett was born 20 July 1840 in Georgia and died 7 June 1922, Cooke Co. TX near Dexter. This couple was listed on the 1860 US census Georgia, Newton County, page 27, Post Office: Covington, dwelling 176, family 174 as W. G. Green, age 27, carpenter; Eliza J. age 19, Francis A. [daughter]age 1, and Ida age 2 months.

This family left for Texas between 1870 and 1873.
