I got my DNA results back a few weeks ago and was quite excited to find a 2nd cousin match...I was especially excited since I know it had to be a paternal 2nd cousin ( I was adopted but re-united with my b-mom over 16 years and completed her family tree, sadly she passed away recently without ever telling me my b-father's identity even though she knew)....after the excitement dwindled down a little, I went and checked this 2nd cousin's family tree out....I am now pretty confused...his father who would be my first cousin was born in 1919....this doesn't make sense as I was born in 1971....Any thoughts on this? Any help with making sense out of this would be appreciated :)
