I am trying to date the attached photo. The date 1940 is stamped on the back which is when it was developed, not necessarily when it was taken. I am wondering if the photo may have been taken much earlier than 1940 as the ages of the family (which I think are in the photo) doesn't correspond with the year.stamped on the back. For example, the woman in the back row, far right resembles my great grandmother. The problem is that in 1940 she was 65. Also, does the clothing look outdated to anyone? This photo was take in Maine. Probably Washington County if that makes a different.
