I am looking for information regarding Charles McAllister, born about 1828 in Canada or NY and/or his parents/siblings. One census says his parents were from Scotland. He was married to Mary Jane Conant about 1861 and had Albert (about 1867) and Matilda (27 Dec 1861). He divorced Mary Jane sometime before 1870 as she remarried to William Woodruff about 1871. Charles is in the 1880 Pipestone Minnesota Census living with Mary Jane's brother, John, and his family and then living alone in the 1885 census for the same place. Any information is appreciated.
