I have a copy of two letters written by Peter Hennen in 1853 back to his uncle and father-in-law in Koblenz Germany describing his new home in "Kalmut" in Fond Du Lac County. It mentions other friends (Lambert Kutscheid, Gerhard & Nicolas Mertes, Mathias Kaspars, Mathias Konz, and Joseph Hohman) who lived near him, so his father-in-law in Germany must have known them, so they must have come from near him in Gillenbueren.

I have transcribed and translated both and will send a copy to anyone interested.
