From the obit of:
"William Tecumseh Riley came west after the Civil War following the building of the Union Pacific Railroad and upon its completion settled in Kelton, Utah where he and B.M. Mallory became associated in the drug, jewelery and notions business, also as postmaster and agent for the staage lines and express companies that at that time were the only public conveyances for Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
On discovery of the mines of Wood River Idaho in 1880 he removed to Bellevue Idaho where he was the postmaster, and druggist, JJ Tracy being associated with him."
I have been researching the family of William and his life in the Wood River Valley. I am willing to share this info with anyone who desires it.
I am searching for death, burial info for two of William Rileys children: Willie, and Russell. Both would have died before 1900.
