Are you looking for a listing of Pfaffenhoffen names or those particular ones listed. I have researched the Stoskopf (Stosskopff)family and have seen some of the following as well.
Augst, Bauer, Biedermann, Duchmann (Tuchmann?), Endres, Gangloff, Groll?, Hof, Jaeger, Kiehl, Moritz, Oppermann, Scheur, Schleber, Siegler, Schmidt, and Wagner.

The times for these families vary from 1573 or so and 1892.

There are many more, but those are ones connected to Stoskopf family in some way.

Hope this helps, BTW, the Bas Rhin records are now available online for free for non-commercial use.

I just found out that my "Thall" line (Thal) came from Pfaffenhoffen. Anyone else researching this line?

I don't have Thall but have good experience with the records in Pfaffenhoffen and could help you locate them. Could you provide your oldest known Thall ancestors details in Pfaffenhoffen. The records are now online.

Good luck,
Dave

I am very interested in connecting with as many Stoskopf researchers as possible. I have probably the best collection of Stoskopf families in my database and would love to connect. Could you provide details on one of your distant ancestors. I will be happy to help you get back to the earliest available records.

Hi Dave,

That would be wonderful if you can help! Here is the emmigrant information I have on my Thall's (And Fusser family.)

Mathias Thall b. 2/24/1834/35 Pfaffenhoffen, Alsace. d. 9/24/1918 Bellefonte, PA, USA I have a confirmed brother Stephen (Etienne) Thall, born Nov 25, 1846 probably in Pfaffenhofen and a possible 2nd brother Joseph Thall, born abt 1841 prob in Pfaffenhofen.

Mathias Thall married Catherine M. Fusser (daghter of Frank Fusser and Katherine Colar, per Catherine M. Fusser death certificate.) I believe Colar could be Kohler. They were married in France before they came to the US and had one son, Michael T. Thall b. Aug 8, 1866 that was born 9 months before they came to the US. Thalls and Kohlers also inter-married with the Beezer/Buesser/Bieser families that lived 8 miles from Pfaffehofen in the town of Mertzwiller.
Immigration records show Mathias, his wife Katherine, their infant son Michael T. and Katherine's sister Anna Fusser arriving in NY (via La Havre, France) on the Ship "William Penn" on May 7, 1867.

I am searching for Mathias Thall and Katherine Fusser's parents in Alsace. Any help would be greatly appreciated. i can access the Alsace records on line but can't read them in French.I have a lot of information from the church records in Mertzwiller about the Bezzer/Busser famillies, but I have no records at all of the Thalls and Kohler familes. I would appreciate what you can find for me.
Thank you!
Liz

What is the address for the online website? I'm searching for Hans George and Phillip, last name either (Rymal, Reimal, Rimall or Reimel)or some other similar spelling. Thank you.

I've information about Reimel's emigrating from Pfaffenhoffen in 1737. There were some descendants who fled to Canada as loyalists but the majority remained in US. Johann Jacob Reimel emigrated in 1737 and ended up in Upper Mount Bethel township in Northhampton County, PA. Johann was my 5th great grandfather.

Sorry, but I am not seeing these families in Pfaffenhoffen. There is a hit on Metz, Moselle later where there was a birth there. Geopatronym.com has that info, but I've been trying to search the obvious places nearby and coming up empty.

Let me know if you are interested in a more systematic search for them. I have been pretty successful in the past, but it will probably take some time.
