Hi Clint, I come from a Zwahlen line that lived in Guggisberg , Bern Switzerland. I would send a copy of her domicile papers that are in old german, but I can`t send pdf files thru the message board. Her name is Anna Zwhalen ( Mast ). When she arrived in US about 1888 she met her brother Fred Zwahlen in New York and lived with him Baltimore, MD. He was a Methodist Episecapol Minister. He later moved to Evansville IN . I have not been able to find him in any census from MD or IN.
My email is mpete13@comcast.net , you can email me and I eill send you a copy of the swiss papers if you would like.
Thanks, Marty Peterson

Hello Lavonne! Thanks for your information..... the "Tschiemer" clan from Matten/Interlaken, Switzerland dates back to late 1600 - I also located my husband's Tschiemer relatives in the Interlaken/Matten, Switzerland area while my husband Robert Tschiemer was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany, with the U.S. Military in 1997!
There is a book in German and it talks about the village "Matten" and its various Family clans including the Tschiemers..... the book published by the History club, also provides the Codes of Arms for all those Matten familes. I made some copies of some pages in the book and I can email it to you if you want. After I had located some (about 35!) members of his grandfather, also named Robert Tschiemer, they invited us and we took a nice train ride down to Interlaken, Switzerland. At the family Reunion we meet about 35 Tschiemers - all related to Bob's Grandfather, Robert Tschiemer. The book they gave us as a present (in German) "History of the Village Matten" talks about all the Matten families their history, what trades they had etc. - like I said, unfortunately it is in German and most people in the USA don't speak or read German....

I met my husband, Robert Tschiemer in 1996 in Germany - I am from Wiesbaden, Germany. I cannot remember of the top of my head a "John Tschiemer" - besides, John is not a German or Swiss first name - I am guessing that his name was really "Johannes" and they changed it to "John" late on.

I also have a Tschiemer tree I got from somebody in Interlaken, I am not sure which Tschiemer branch it is, but I can check it out and see if I can find Johannes Tschiemer with this birth date and Elizabeth Tschiemer.....

I am pretty busy working, taking care of a bunch of dogs we saved etc. but I will try to check it out as soon as I can. I can already email you what I have saved from the Matten book on my PC, including the Tschiemer Code of Arms if you can provide your email address, please. My email address is: ctschiem@msn.com - Bob's email is: rtschiem@live.com - my phone number is: 720-535-1063 - we live in Aurora, Colorado. Please don't hesitate to remind me in case I forget, but if you provide your email, I can already email you some information up front.

Looking forward to hear from you! Greetings, Carola Tschiemer
