Surnames: Knackstedt, Schermeier, Schlueter,Borgstedt, Windhorst (?)
Saw the Zschoche surname on the kist and was suprised as that name is quite unusual. My interest is that an Ellen Knakstedt of St. Louis, MO married a Carl Zscoche. Ellen was a daughter of Christof Knackstedt, who died in 1943 and was married to a Julia ( last name a question due to poor copy ) Windhorst or Windhorn.

If any of you out there have any info or questions, hit me on the e mail

Zschoche,

Don't know if this could be a connection, as "Julia" is uncommon for a Windhorn, but there is a Julia listed in the 1930 census bn ca. 1923. Based on your post, I doubt this is a connection, but would be interested in exploring if you think it a possibility.

My mother was Ellen Knacksedt Zschoche. She was married to Carl Zschoche. Her mother was Julia Windhorst Knackstedt.
Ellen and Carl had 3 children--Warren Zschoche, Russell Zschoche/Shockey, and Marcia Zschoche.
What is your connection with the family?
