I am looking for any Ziarkos or anyone who is related to or has the name or generation line in their family. My grandparents were Antoni Anna Ziarko. My grandmother came to America with 2 children in 1910 from either Poland or Austria. My grandfather came before her and stayed with his brother, Jan, in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Hi,

I came accross your message by accident.

My family is from Southern Poland, from the village of Muniaczkowice. There are many Ziarko's in that area.

Does it sound familiar?

Best wishes,

Wojciech Ziarko (Canada)

In response to one of your earlier messages you mentioned that there were alot of Ziarkos in the village where your family came from. How common is the Ziarko name? How close is your relatives' village in connection with Austria? I am looking to find out where or what country Lubla is in. My grandmother came from Lubla to Manchester, New Hampshire in 1910.

Hi, this name is not very common in Poland. The village
I was talking about called Muniaczkowice was located
on Austria's territory prior to First World War. I have no idea
what Lubla is, perhaps the name is misspelled. There is
a city in Poland called Lublin, which sounds close ...

Good luck in your search ...

My 3rd great grandmother was Agnes ZIARKO born about 1822 in Poland. She married Andreas SOBAL on 29 May 1845 in Wola Rzedzinska, Austria (now Poland, near Tarnow)
Agnes' parents were Adalberti ZIARKO and Agatha KOBEL.
Adalbert ZIARKO and Agatha KOBEL also had a son, Joseph ZIARKO born 29 Jul 1925 in Wola Rzedzinska, Poland.
My 3rd great grandparents, Andreas SOBAL and Agnes ZIARKO had a daughter, Anna SOBAL, my 2nd gr grandmother, who was born 27 Feb 1854 in Jodlowka ad Walki, Poland. Anna SOBAL married Jacob SYSLO and they were the first generation to move to the United States. They settled in Nebraska.
Does this sound familiar to anyone??? There is a small town just outside of Wola Rzedzinska called Ladna... could that be what you were referring to?
