Starting on Zenner side

Debbie Zenner  (View posts) Posted: 9 Jan 2000 7:22PM GMT
Hello
My husband would like me to start on his family. His name is Michael Jon Zenner, his dad is Darwin Dean Zenner, and his grandpa is Roy Zenner. He has one great uncle still alive named Lynn Zenner. That's all I can remember right now, but I know I have more informaiton. I'll repost when I find it.

Will you please tell me where your family
lived. My Zenner's were from Buffalo/Niagara
Falls, New York. They were there in the 1880
census.

Location.

My great grandfather John Peter Zenner moved to Eastern Washington (Uniontown) and then to Northern Idaho (Genesee) in the second decade of the 1900's. We are all still mostly here! Aaron Zenner

I guess I forgot to say that my great grandfather came here from Luxembourg. The exact town eludes me, I will have to look that up. Aaron Zenner

Was your ancestor in Buffalo, Erie Co., New York
in 1880/1900/1920? The John P. Zenner family I
am researching was listed in these census.

My husband ancestors were from Buffalo, Erie Co., New York
I am guessing this John P. Zenner family is related to our
family. Otto John Zenner born abt 1881 in New York is our
ancestor we do not know his parents. Since he was born
about 1881 he would not be listed on the 1880
census. Hope we make a connection, Please let me know Yes or No.

Mathias Zenner from Losheim, Trier, Germany

Mathias and Katherine (Hübscher) Zenner arrived in New York in 1851. From there they went to Chicago and a year later settled in San Antonio, Texas. He was the son of Johann Zenner (1769-1829). Just thought that I would mention him, my great-great grandfather, to you because the Trier area of Germany is near Luxembourg

George Zentner,
Since I had a Gr-Gr-grandfather by the name of Mathias Zenner who came from Western Germany. . . not to far from Luxembourg, I would like to get in touch with Terry Zenner in LA. Do you have an e-mail address for him

JP Zenner, married to Gertrude, came to vist my family in CA in 1959. My grandfather, Henry Schleich, mother was Marie Zenner. I beleive JP Zenner and Henry traveled together from Europe. Both were born in Luxembourg, location unknown. I'm seeking information on the place of orgin in Luxembourg and Schleich/Zenner info on their Luxembourg roots.

JP Zenner and his wife Gertude were indeed my Great-grandparents. Before he died in 1978 he wrote down his life story. It includes the location of the towm which he came from in Luxembourg. I read it a couple of years ago and I don't recall it mentioning your Grandfather but I could be wrong. If it would interest you or help you I could send you a copy of the story. If you would like that then send your address to me via e-mail to azenner@ieee.org. I would assume that Henry and JP were cousins? Let me know any other information you might have. Thank you very much and best wishes. Aaron Zenner
