My PA, Zeigler / Ziegler BRICKWALL! Help!

My Ziegler family member I'm researching is Frank Pierce ZIEGLER.
He was born Aug 19th, 1841 or 1844 in York Co, or Lancaster Co, PA.

His wife Eleanor Bourassa Ziegler had a journal with Lancaster Co, Pa as his birthplace and 1844 as birth date.

Frank's daughter Bonnie Vera Ziegler HAYS, had York Co, Pa and 1844 written in her journal.
But his tombstone in Springfield, Mo say's he was born in 1841!

I have found info about his Civil War service in PA under the name Franklin Pierce Zeigler.

His parents are Jacob Ziegler, Born abt 1800 in Adams Co, Pa and Margaret Myers Born abt 1805 in Adams Co, Pa.

This info was in both Eleanor and Bonnie's Journals.

I have no info on any sibling's Frank P Ziegler might have had.

Help with any more info on his family, is what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

I am looking for a Margaret A. Ziegler/Zeigler who was married in Erie Co. Pa. 8 Nov 1870, to a David F. Basden. Her father was Rev. P. Ziegler, a minister of the Christian Church. I have her being born in Noble Co. Indiana, but cannot find her in Indiana. They lived in Richland Co. IL after they were married. Do you have any info on these people or do they sound familiar to you? This is my brickwall. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time. Sincerely, Linda Basden.

Your Brick Wall is NO MORE!

Rev. Philip ZEIGLER is the brother of my line: Joseph ZEIGLER, a Church of the Brethren Minister, of neighboring Whitley County, Indiana.

Reverend Philip ZEIGLER of Noble County, Indiana second wife Elizabeth Miles died when Phillip was a preacher in Erie Co. PA in 1873, from the 1902 book on the History of the Eel River Christian Conference which contains their photograph, but no names for 1 son and 2 daughters.

I have a daughter Marjorie married to William Masden with a child Alva. Whether David F. BASDEN was a second husband or the name was corrupted is unknown. My information is from page 29 in the 1906 ZIEGLER Family Record by Elder Jesse ZIEGLER found on Ancestry.com, linked on my web site:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sfollis/zeigler/zei... ,

and in the updated 1990 edition by Floyd Mason http://home.rica.net/masonf3150/ pages 98 and 126.

Rev. Philip ZEIGLER was the first paid minister of the Christian Church at Merriam, Noble County, Indiana. He is buried in Section 2 Row 16 in the Christian Chapel Church cemetery with his wife Elizabeth Miles and 2 other young children, son Arba W. ZEIGLER is nearby. See the cemetery web page:

http://www.rootsweb.com/~innoble/Cemeteries/ChrChapel.htm

Please contact me directly through my web site on the first link above as I would like to know more about Margaret and her descendants. I have traced many of our ZEIGLER relatives from Ohio to the present. I have not looked at the PA ZIEGLER families, but they are covered in both books.

P.S. For whatever reason the name changed from ZIEGLER to ZEIGLER in Ohio when moving to Indiana.
