Hi Alan. Alfred Zealand and Matilda Brumpton were my grandfather and grandmother. My mother was Margery,Queenie Zealand.I am still trying to find the actual birth of Alfred and I beleive his mother was Ellen Zealand. She was born in Wrangle and lived in Fen Side Stickford. I have more info on the Brumptons and some photos. If needed I have the names of his siblings. Regards Henry Dale.

Hi Henry,
Alfred's birth was registered as Alfred Zealand Page at Spilsby in June 1872. I have not sent for the certificate.
In the 1881 census he is shown as that name.
I have written to you this afternoon via the Ancestry board about the Brumpton/Tindale connection.
Did you know that Matilda had a child in the Workhouse at Lincoln who only lived a few weeks?
Hope to hear from you again as there are some dates I do not have. I can be contacted direct at wembleyman@btinternet.com

Hi Alan.Aologies for being late onthis one,but did not spot the message.I think you have put most of the Zealand tree together now.Alfreds father was Benjamin Zealand b.1827 and married Ellen Page. His father was James Zealand who married Mary Wright 27th June 1826 at Hundleby, Lincoln. George Brumpton b.1841 married Ann Tindall b.1843. Her father was Robert Tindall b.1800. His wife was Ann &&& b1799.I did not know of Matilda's child in workhouse, but will now have a look. If I find any more on the Tindalls I'll let you know.

Henry.

I came across your inquiry and was interested in what you have on Matilda Brumpton. I have an ancester of that name born 26 Sep 1824, parents William and Mary from Lincoln. Do you have more information on her? That is all I have.

Your Matilda Brumpton was brother to my gt grandfather George, who's daughter Matilda b.1872 was my grandmother. Matilda b. 1824 married Thomas Waller and died unknown in Canada, possibly Yarmouth, Elgin as her brother Joseph died there. Matilda's parents were William b.1790 in Thorney,Notts and Mary Cook b.1796 in Gainsborough. Matilda's siblings besides Joseph were William b. 1821,Benjamin b. 1826, John b. 1830, Jane b.1836 and Ann also 1836 but died aged 2mths.and of course George my gt grandfather. I have quite a bit of info on the Brumpton family, so ask away and I willsee if I have the answers.

Henry.

Thanks for the info. Please email me at jackier@ctcweb.net.
I have traced the Brumpton name to 1600's but know next to nothing about some of the siblings of my direct relations. I am working on that now.

Please write.
