Hello Fran,
Thanks for the answer. Both names: Zbikowski and Jasinski are connected with my family. Stanislaw or Stanley Zbikowski whom I have been looking for was my maternal grandfather's brother and came from Poland, from exactly areas Mlawa, Ciechanow, like your grandfather. My Zbikowski came to the U.S. between 1910-1920, the family lieved in Detroit, MI. I know they had two children only; a son and a daughter. Stanislaw Zbikowski was married to Mary/Maria/Marianna Zbikowski. Last contac with them my parents had in 1966. I found theirs SDIs. I also know that their first grandchildren (son's and daughter's boys - Fillip and Jimmy were born in early 40s. Jasinski, Stanislaw was merried to Casimira/Kazimiera Gizinski (who was my maternal grandmother's sister), they lieved in PA. They probably had two children - a daughter Geneviev (Jane) who merried Caroll Mentzell, and son probably Charles. Stanislaw Jasinski had to escape from Warsaw because he made conspiration against Tchar (Poland was under Russia -Tchar controll at that time). That everything what I know about Jasinski. If something familiar please be so kind and let me know, or maybe you have heard about different branches of Zbikowski and if you could share that information with me I really appreciate it. Once again thank you very much for respond and I'd like to take an opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year. Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, What happened to our possible summer meeting? What happened to our Summer? I have been unable to find any new info on our Zbikowski-jasinski connection. Have you had any luck? Fran Happy Fall!

great grandaughter of Stanley and Mary Zbik
I am the great grandaughter of Stanley and Mary Zbik. I too have been looking for more family information. Stanley and Mary had two children, Eleanor and Louis (my grandfather), both of who are now deceased. Eleanor married Walter Wojick and had 4 children - Phillip, Daniel, Russel, and Sally. Louis married Janine Niemczak and also had four children - James, Judith, Dale, and Patricia.
If you have more information, please contact me. I would love to hear about the family, especially information about Poland!

Karen,
This is further to your posted message of June 2001, I have a feeling that we are speaking about the same family. Did your great grandparents live in Detroit? As I mentioned, the last letter from your great grandparents to my mother was sent in 1966. I have a picture of Phillip and James as a 2-3 yeras old boys. RSVP. Elizabeth

Re: great grandaughter of Stanley and Mary Zbik
I realize your post is old, but I am Karen Long (Zbik)'s cousin. To answer your question, yes, this family is from the Detroit area. How do you know of us? :)

Re: great grandaughter of Stanley and Mary Zbik
I have started my search for Zbikowski family long time ago. Unfortunately, I missed Karen's posting. I have been looking for Stanley (Stanislaw) Zbikowski’s family. Stanislaw Zbikowski immigrated to the USA in early 1900s. The information provided by Karen corresponds with mine. Lucjan Zbikowski, my maternal grandfather, Stanley's brother, died in Poland in 1946. He was married twice; my Mother was his only child from the first marriage. It would be nice to speak to Karen and verify our information. What do you know about Zbikowski family in Poland?
