dora zannone just celebrated her 90th birthday on april 3rd. holy crap she's still going strong...lol richARD, LINDA AND LORRAINE were there to help her celebrate. richard now lives in las vegas and will be 65 on april 14...linda also lives in las vegas and is now married. lorraine lives in carle place with dora, in the same home that she grew up...we have no contact with the zannone family, would love to hear from anyone that has any information about our family, pls. contact me at my e-mail address which is SHEEBA10290@AOL.COM would love to hear from anyone that has anything to share with me...

dora zannone married to angelo just celebrated her 90th birthday on april 3. linda richard and lorraine were all there also she was surrounded by grandchildren and great grandchildren were all there. we do not have any contact with the zannone FAmily, since 1981 when angelo passed away, if anyone would like to get in touch with me, lorraine zannone, married name is chimienti, pls do so through my e-mail sheeba10290@aol.com would love to here from someone out there dora, my mom, lives with me in carle place, richard zannone will turn 65 on april 14 who now resides in las vegas along with our sister linda,who is now married.

Annette,
My condolences on your Mothers passing. Losing our Mother is one of the greatest losses of our lives.
Yes, she was a great lady, who suffered through some terrible things she never deserved. I shared many happy times with her as well as some tragic ones.
You are fortunate to have had her with you for the time you did.

I remember going over there as a little boy and eating all those candy buttons! She was always cooking something delicious.

My name is Brian Zannone. My father is Richard Zannone, son of Angelo Zannone , who is brother of Joseph and Guido Sr., Guido Jr (as referred to in this thread) is/was my fathers cousin, and was the son of Joseph, named for his uncle. Angelo, Joseph,and both Guido's are all deceased for some time now. Angelo's widow, my grandmother, is still alive in Carle Place NY. The Zannones were from the Bronx. Fordham more precisely. Angelos father died when they were young, and his mother did remarry. My father and his father also worked at Yonkers Raceway.
I know this thread is several years old, but if anyone is interested, these are the details of that generation of Zannones. BTW, my father is 65 yrs old and has no contact with the extended family of never ending cousins, whom all of you would be. I have one brother and 2 sisters, Nancee Zannone is the sister with the family history info.

Hey Angelo....What a terrible curse! Just to let you know, "ALL"
the Zannone family members were
stuck with that curse...All they're
siblings too! As all the Zannones
and their offspring are sooooooooo
good looking! The whole big,ITALIAN
family is stuck with that curse!

mom lives in tampa now. they moved back from hawaii to NJ and then decided to move to florida...we all came down here eventually because we just couldnt bear the void of not having mom around... : )
yes we are all incredibly good looking. me, of course, leading the pack!! sometimes i think its a curse. : ) LOL!

As far as Annette goes, she is fine
and living upstate with my Aunt Jenny. (her mom) I will tell my Aunt Vivian to give her a message.
Also,..to Angelo...I didn't know your mom Patrica, but my Aunt Viv does,and she wanted me to ask you, if she is still living in Hawaii?
That is where, she said she had moved to.She also said,you all were
really good looking kids! Thats what she remembers best! Take care.

I havent had any contact with annette or jerry and the last time saw them i was probably about 5.Jenny was actually my grandmother and we never remained in contact...the last time i saw her was at my brothers wedding and that was around 1992...
did you know my mother patricia???

Angelo, if you're still checking this post could you please let me know what happened to Annette and her husband Jerry? Is your aunt Jenny still alive? Sorry to hear about your father and grandfather. I lived on the block at East 213th Street in the 60's and 70's. I'm in Chicago now. Thanks.

There was a Zannone family that lived at 1034 East 213th Street in the Bronx. His name was Guido Zannone and his wife's name was Genevieve (Rainone). They had a son Guido, Jr., and daughters Janice and Annette. He (Guido, Sr.) worked at Yonkers Raceway. Janice was married to Andrew Milano and they had 2 children, Andrew, Jr. and Audra. They lived next door to Guido, Sr., but I don't know where they are either. Guido, Jr. moved to Edgewater, NJ with his wife and children, but again, I don't know it they still live there. Annette married Jerry Ratuis and they lived in Mt. Vernon, NY. I would imagine that Guido, Sr. would be in his 90's now and his wife in her 80's. Guido, Jr. and Janice would be in their 50's, and Annette would be in her 40's.

I would like to find out more info on my mothers family. Her name was Adele (delphina) Zannone, and her brothers were, Angelo, Joey, Guido,her sisters, Vera, Annette (Nette),Vivian,and Norma.She was born 3-26-25, and lived in the Bronx, N.Y. before marriage.Any info would be greatly appreciated! Hello Wendy, Thank you for your info, concerning my moms family.
By the way,Who are you, and are you any relation to anyone in the family? I reconized all my cousins names, Annette,Marie,Guido,Andrew, Janice,etc.
but, some of the info was wrong, as Janice was my Uncle Joeys daughter,
(who has long time been deceased),
and was married to my Aunt Jennie,
and they lived in the Bronx...My cousin Annette and Marie, (who married Carl)are daughters of my Aunt Vera, also lives in the Bronx. My Uncle Guido,married to my Aunt Jeannie,also had two children,
Jeanine,and a son, though I cant recall his name offhand.By the way,
my Uncle Guido, is the only brother still living,and resides in Long Island.My cousin, Jeanine, married, also lives in L.I.
My uncle Angelo,who was married to Dora,had children, though I am not entirely sure on them, because I really didnt know them, aside from attending their weddings, and other family functions, when I was really young. Thank you so very much for all the info that helped boost my memory, and recollections, and for the married names I didn't, or couldn't, remember, or know! Much appreciated!
(also, it was my Uncle Richie and my Aunt Vivian who worked at Yonkers Raceway, though my uncle Joey could have also!)

my grandparents were joseph and jennifer(Genevieve) zannone from thew bronx...my father(Guido) and mother (patricia) moved to edgewater when i was very small.. i have a sister (cathy) and a brother (joseph)...we all live in FL now..
my father guido died in 1994...and my grandfather died shortly before that....my mother remarried in 1984.
i beleive i was named after your uncle?...angelo. i could be incorrect about that.
i really dont keep in touch with anyone anymore, but i thought that i would reply...
