It's my 26 year old son's last name. His
grandmother migrated from Russia. Presumably
so did the grandfather. They were second
cousins. We have run into other cousins of
the family and they spell their name Yuzak
and Yuzik.

I am not sure whether I replied to your last message, but my son is in his twenties, but his grandmother is originally from Massachusetts. As soon as I can get more information I will post it

Audrey, I read your posting of questions about spelling variations of Yuzuk surname. I am wondering if you came across any Yascak references. I have been trying to find this surname, and can't get a break anywhere. This was my Gr-Grandmother's maiden name as far as I can tell. She came from what is now Austria/Slovak area. Not sure where. Any clues you might have would be most appreciated. Nancy

Try Jasczak. There were no Y's in the
cyrillic alphabet. The J was pronounced as
a Y.

Neil? Adam's father? Robert hasn't spoke to his father in several years as you know? But recently ran into him. Not sure how that will go. Robert hardly remembers his cousins, Adam and David, Adam had tried to get in touch with Robert, and Robert did try to get in touch with Adam. But nothing came of it. Robert hardly remembers his grandparents, and that makes me feel sad. there are some in the family I'd like Robert to get to know, like Esther's brother's son, Marshall's family and I also remember the nicest cousin of Esther's that lived with her crippled mother who was also very sweet. If you can fill in the blanks e-mail me at: ospa@ptd.net I'd like to also see the family tree history. The cousin thing is something that I could not explain to Robert.
