STUART, FLA. – Angela Judith Bisciglia passed away peacefully on Nov. 8, 2014, in Stuart, Fla. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) the daughter of Vincent and Angeline Yurak, who emigrated to the United States from Croatia in the early 1900s.

She was the oldest of the five Yurak children.
Angela grew up in Youngstown and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School at the top of her class at the age of 16.
While working at the Mahoning County Courthouse, she met the love of her life, James Bisciglia. They were married six months after their chance encounter, and she was married to him for 67 years until James’s death on Sept. 28, 2014.
Besides being a wonderful mother and homemaker, Angela was a career teacher.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University and her Master’s Degree in English from Westminster College.

She taught kindergarten and fifth grade at several schools in the Youngstown area, and ultimately taught senior level and honors English at Chaney High School until her retirement in 1976. She and James left Ohio and relocated to Florida the following year to enjoy the warm weather and pursue their avid interest in golf.

Angela was preceded in death by her husband, James, and her brother, Vincent Yurak. She is survived by her sisters, Julia Naples and Catherine Medovich; her brother, James Yurak; her children, sons Robert and Raymond Bisciglia and daughter Marie Pipes; as well as six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

To all who knew her, Angela will be remembered as a strong, caring woman who loved her family and her students.
She made the world a more interesting place for all of us.
