William F. "Bill" Yukon, age 98, of Union City, Pa.
left his wife's arms of 25 years, to join the Lord for eternity, on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Ambridge, Pa., on November 13, 1916, the son of the late William and Veronica Yukon. Bill attended the former Academy High School. Prior to serving with the U.S. Army during World War II, Bill was a Golden Glove boxer. He retired from National Forge in 1981, after more than 40 years. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Bill enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Armelya Yukon, in 1985; one daughter Marilynn DeWolf; grandchildren, Matthew, Delilah "Dee" and Marcia; one brother, Wally Yukon; and one toddler sister who passed away in 1919. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Louise H. Yukon; his children: Jane Marie, Larainne Spires "Rainy." Larry, Charles "Chuck," Gary, Douglas Yukon, Cindy, Dawn Marie Louk, Dawn Marie Johnson, Ricky, George Throne, April, Donald, Christopher Beeman, and Pamela Trebik; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Road, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8 p.m., conducted by Fr. Dennis Chludzinski. Private interment will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be designated to the family, c/o the funeral home. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Drs. James Jageman, Wallace Esper, Lakeland Hospice and their staff for their care. They were true "angels" to Bill's family.
