Re: Yuille Slaves of Campbell and Halifax Counties Virginia
I'm a descendant of George Yuille from Cambell County, Va. I believe his wife's name was Phoebe. Not sure of her maiden name. George would have been born ~1830. They had a daughter name Bettie that married Horace Price. There were other siblings; Marthanne, Winston, Frannie, Delia. If this sounds like some of your family touch base and let's compare notes. Hope your still working this project.- LMP

Re: Yuille Slaves of Campbell and Halifax Counties Virginia
You do need to contact Barry Ewell in Utah. His records are more up to date than mine.

Re: Yuille Slaves of Campbell and Halifax Counties Virginia
I assisted the Moore Yuille Family with their family reunion last year. The reunion was held in Williamsburg, Virginia. I would be happy to put you in contact with the Reunion Chair. You might already know Audrey or Leatha Moore from Brookneal, Virginia

Re: Yuille Slaves of Campbell and Halifax Counties Virginia
Hi Debbie, I believe we are working on the same area of family history for the Yuilles of Charlotte, Campbell and Halifax areas in VA. I interested in comparing notes and seeing if we have commonalities. Let's chat Lynn

Re: Yuille Slaves of Campbell and Halifax Counties Virginia
Hi Jeff,
I am writing to you because I see that you may have Rev. William George Parks-Smith within your tree, but I have to write this way because I am in the UK and so do not have a full-blown ancestry.co.au membership.
I wonder if you can help me, please?
Many thanks, Caspar

Re: Yuille Slaves of Campbell and Halifax Counties Virginia
Hi Jeff,
Many thanks for your reply.
I see that he is not your immediate ancestor, so perhaps you do not have much on him, however I would be very grateful to hear what you do have, please.
For instance, do you know anything of his parents or his wife, or his children, please?
I have found him listed in Alumni Cantabrigienses, but it doesn't give much. I have also found the tale of him putting out flowers which offended the Bishop of Exeter.
Any help you can give would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Caspar
