Just wanted to see what kind of response I would get. I know that half of the Yuhn's in the United States I do not know. I would like to introduce myself and hopefully hear from others.

Where did you originate from? My father is John Yuhn from Baltimore Md. but his father had a German background. His name was Louis Francis Yuhn. It is odd having a rare last name and not knowing who the other half is. Please enlighten me.

Surnames: Yuhn. Juhn.
Hello!

It's been 14 years since this thread was written, but it's worth a shot.

My great-great grandmother, Gertrude Viola Lafferty married Louis Anthony Yuhn in Baltimore, Maryland 1900 and had 3 children, Louis Francis, Marie Patricia, and Regina Gertrude (my great-grandmother).
I'm currently trying to identify the parents of Louis Anthony Yuhn. I thought I had a great lead but am now doubting it, so if you look at my tree, don't copy what I have as his parentage or siblings just yet.
Other versions of the surname show up as Juhn and Jun. He seems to bee from Austria, but immigrated beween the ages of 9mo - 2 years.
If anyone has any information, or is related and would just like to reach out and say hello, I'd be glad to share information.

Thanks,
Mary C. Gill
