Stephen Yuhas is my Grandmothers father. She learned almost nothing about him, and not that she wonts to know she doesn't know how to go about finding out. I tried to find out when I was oversees, but found out that the spelling was changed when he came to the U.S. as an endentured servent.

He married Ethel Agnes Cougherour. They lived in Pennsylvannia. They had nine surviving children. Stephen "Jake" Leroy, Jean Audrey, Norma Eline, Ronald Allen, Dona Lucil, Geraldine Louise, Richard Dean, Linda Sue, Gary Ray,

I and my grandmother would be greatful for any further info.

Wow I had forgotten all about this. It has been more than 10 years since I posted this. Since then my grandmother has passed on. Any family history would be nice to add to the tree. Thank you for responding.

Glad to hear from you. Can you tell me who your grandmother was so I can see how this all fits? I do have some info. Am so sorry to hear about your grandmother wish I would have seen this link sooner. Please get back to me. I can send you some stuff. I can tell you that that some of the family spelled their last name different. I have yet to find out why. (Yuhas, Yuhasz, & Yuhasse)

My grandmother was born Jean Audrey Yuhas in Pennsylvania, (I think Elizabeth township) in 1935 to Stephen Yuhas, and Ethel Agnes Coughenour. Jean was one of nine children. I think Stephen was from Ohio, and that is all I know about them.

I thought your grandmother was Jean. We did not know that she had passed until long afterwards. Leroy and Ron have also pasted away. If you would like, I can send you some family information.

First can you fill me in on your family? So I can add it to the family tree that the family is doing? Second I wanted to let you know that your grandmother's dad was born in the US. It was his dad Steven that was born in Hungary.

Yes Grandpa (Lewis Delano Rodgers) did correct me on that. But he didn't know anything further back, not even where in Hungary. I suppose you have all Jean's Kids. I am her youngest Geri Lynne's oldest, Christina Lynne. I am the oldest of six, next is Barbara Ann, Donald Ray & Ronald Lewis (twins) Sabrina Dawn, and Rebecca Jean. You should also know my mom is passed. She died Aug of 1999 Let me know anything else you want to know. I will do the best I can.
