Hello Albert,
From the south of France where I live I started to search for my family roots. I discovered that the brother of my Grand father (born in East Prussia probably a descendant from the Salzburg exulanten - devoted lutherians who didn't gave up their faith and were expulsed from Salzburg in 1732 and settled in East Prussia through the welcome of king Friedrich) emigrated from Hamburg to NY in 1894. His name is Julius Rohrer (born in East Prussia - Pabbeln??) and maried in 1900 a Mary Widmayer. All I know that they had 4 children. Do you know if Mary Widmayer could be the sister of Ida Maud Widmayer as her first child was named Mary? If she is related to your family do you have any information on Mary's 4 children?
Thank you for your reply.

I don't think they were related. Ida Maud Widmayer's mom was Mary D Staiger from Pennsylvania. Ida's dad was Charles Widmayer born Oct 1870. As far as I know Ida was an only child. Mary Staiger died in 1901 and Charles did eventually remarry. I don't know if he had other children after that. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Computer issues here in Canada:)

I think you are related to my husband, they were his grandparents, his mother was Bertha Ida Yuengling, her siblings were Albert, Mary and Elwood Yuengling. They lived in Phila Pa, 4242 N Sydenham St in 1920. How are you related to Albert and Ida?

Elwood's sister Bertha Ida Yuengling-Clark is my husband's mother. I remember Elwood very well. I know alot about the family. Is your husband's mother Karen or Cheryl? We have been married 44 years, and Karen and Cheryl were young girls when we got married. Our daughter Dawn-Marie was the flower girl in Bob and Cherly's wedding. Small world isn't it. You could ask Francis she remembers facts about the family. The reason I know the facts about the family is my mother-in-law Bertha use to tell me about her family. If I can be of any help to you let me know.

Ida Maud Widmayer was my grandmother. My father Elwood John Yuengling was her youngest child. My Grandfather was Albert Christian Augustus Yuengling. Ida was an only child. Her mother passed away when she was very young and Ida was raised by an aunt with the last married name of Koehler. Ida had a daughter named MAry who was my fathers oldest sister. Mary passed away in 1992 and my father passed away in 1994.
