Rand look under Yudelovitch...also my understanding is that it is actually pronounced Yude-lev-itch so look for phonetics too.

Hey you are tracing my family tree! My name is Angela Stoddard and my father is John Stoddard. My fathers mother was called Devorah Yudelvitch before marrying my gradfather and dads father Caroll Stoddard. My grandma was born in Tel Aviv after her grandfather was one of the founders of Rishon Le Zion, Reuven Yudelvitch. He emigrated from Russia due to the Jewish pogroms and I would love to trace back my family tree furthur looking at Russia.

So please give me any information you have found, and I can talk to my grandma who is alive and give you any information I know from her!

My great grandfather was Osias Yudelovitch (spelling unsure - phonetics above). He came to New York from Iassi, Romania around 1900. I am told his father was Abraham Yudelovitch and died in Romania when he was kicked in the head by a horse when he stopped to pick up his hat.

Osias entered the USA under the name of Osias Schwartz which I was told was a cousins last name but some research I have done indicates Schwartz may have been a step-fathers name. Any Yudelovitch people from Romania?
