LORAIN, Ohio – William P. Yozwiak "Yoz," 56, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 in EMH Regional Health Center after a sudden illness.
He was born March 8, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) and had been a Lorain, Ohio resident for the past 20 years.
He graduated from Youngstown State University.
He worked for US Steel Works, Lorain and Youngstown for 37 years, retiring in 2006.
He had been a member of St. Brendan Church in Youngstown and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, Lorain.
He enjoyed boating, airplane shows, cars, and loved his cat, Max.
Survivors include his sisters, Lynda Cruickshank of Youngstown, Ohio and Marsha Croft of Cortland, OH; several nieces, and a nephew.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward P. and Stephenie (nee Kohut) Yozwiak; and brother, Edward M. Yozwiak in 2000.
Friends may call Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 6 to 9 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Avenue in Youngstown, OH.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
