Frank Youell has been a mistery to me forever, he was no where to be found in records then slowly one piece at a time I believe I have finally put together part of his life. I can now prove who his parents where.
Frank was as far as I can tell the youngest son of Maulius Youell and Katheryn Scobee, and he was born in Salt River, Ralls, Missouri.
The earliest Frank could be found was 1900 at San Pablo Island there he states he was a resedent of Monroe, Missouri, and that he was born in 1879, he was in the Infantry. Frank had been wonded several times and was discharged in 1901and he ended up in Reno, Nevada where he met Lotty Wiley they where married 17 Aug 1901.
1910 Frank is still in Reno and has started a family, Edna is 5, Jack is 3 and Madeline [ aunt Lynn ]is 6 months. But by 1915 he and Lotty have gone there seperate ways.
1917 Frank fills out his WWl draft papers he is a Farm Laborer in Andrew County Missouri. He gives his birth date as 14 Aug 1882, and he is blind in one eye , its from this form
that we got our biggest clue as to his back ground, he listed his nearest relitive as Stella Farwell, who's full name was Estella Youell, daughter of Maulius and Katheryn Youell. From there about 1922 Frank has moved to Pocahontas County Iowa, he is living close to Betty Smith who has listed her father as Bud Youell, that is the name Maulius went by.
He is found in the 1925 Iowa state census, then again in the 1930 census he is found in lake, Calhoun County, Iowa with his wife Fern [Wood] and son Richard. Frank also had with his wife Fern another son Everett Edward and a Daughter Madeline.
From Iowa he moves his family to Minnesota and on Dec 4 1954 Frank has gone to his final resting place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Blue Earth Minnesota.
