Hello -
Actually, I'm researching a Philadelphia O'Neill family line for my significant other.
I have a Felix O'Neill showing up on the 1910 Philadelphia census, living with his in-laws. Ancestry.com has the in-laws' surname as Jarrell, but it looks like the surname was Youell or Yowell (sounds like Ewell) and the transcriber mis-read the "Y" for a "J", the "o" for an "a", the "u" or "w" for 2 "r"s.
The family list from the 1910 census - I'll use the surname Youell, in hopes that is correct - The family lived at 2020 Cambria St., Philadelphia (Ward 25.):
Head: Honora Youell 58 Female born: Ireland Dyer Silk [factory]
Children, all born in Pennsylvania with both parents born in Ireland:
Son: Patrick 35 Dyer Silk [factory]
Son: Louis 33 Dyer Silk [factory]
Son: John 31 [looks like] Buyer Wood Wagon[s]
Son: George 25 [can't make out occupation] Worker
Son-in-law: Felix O'Neill 26 Brakeman Railroad
Daughter: Mary [O'Neill] 26
Granddaughter: Nora [o'Neill] 1
From the 1920 census only two of the Youells are living with Felix O'Neill and family at 2868 Gaul St., Philadelphia:
Head: O'Neill Felix 36 Oiler City Fire Dept.
Wife: Mary 36
Children, all born in Pennyslvania and both parents born in Pennnsylvania
Daughter: Nora 10
Son: William 8
Daughter: Catharine 7
Son: Hugh 3 6/12
Father-in-law: William Youell 70 born: Ireland Immigrated: 1866 Naturalized: 1884
Brother-in-law: George Youell 34 born in Penn., both parents born in Penn. [?] Laborer Box factory
If these Youell family names, ages, occupations and/or addresses look familiar, please let me know, so I can verify the correct spelling of the surname.
Also, I did find the Youell family in the 1910 census, in Ward 25, Philadelphia, with William, the father, Honora, the wife/mother, and 7 children, although some of the surnames are mis-transcribed as Yannell.
Thank you.
