William Alfred YOUDEN b 1818 Kent
William Alfred Youden is my great grandfather and I have found his father through other trees on Ancestry as Charles UDEN.
I know the name can be easily corrupted and some of William's siblings are Youden and some Uden.
There are no census records that show William and his father on the same record and I am just trying to be sure that I have the correct father for him?
Can anybody help with some proof for me?

Re: William Alfred YOUDEN b 1818 Kent
I am seeking a more recent member of the Youden family, a William (Bill) born around 1935 and many years in the RAF, particularly at RAF Watton, Norfolk 1954-1957. His last known address (back in the 1950's) was 2 Railway Cottages, Ash? - rings a bell, Kent. Can you put me in touch please? An old friend. David Fossey

David I am afraid I don't know of any living Youden's myself - the last Youden in my family is my g grandmother.
Good luck with your search!

Re: William Alfred YOUDEN b 1818 Kent
Hi, I too have this chap on my tree (or rather my husband's) and according to the parish register transcripts for East Langdon he was baptised on 25th Oct 1818 to Charles and Mary Ann. If this is the information you have, then he will also be one of 13 children born to the couple. I shouldn't worry too much about the change in spelling between Uden and Youden (or possible Euden), it happens alot! Hope that helps. Katie
