I think I can help you. I have a family tree which shows Thomas Youden ( or Uden), the spelling varies at this date. It states of East Langdon Kent buried 25th October 1900 in Kearnsey Kent married Eliza Bailey 14th October 1854 in East Langdon, she died 6th May 1906. His parents are shown as Thomas Uden b 1795/6 in Northbourne Kent buried 16th April 1854 in East Langdon, married Ann Kemp 12th January 1817, married in East Langdon Kent where she was born 1798/9.
His parents were Thomas and Ann Uden, two other children are shown, Mary born sometime in the 1790's and Charles born 12th November 1797 who was my great/great/great Grandfather.
Where do you live? I am in Shropshire, right in the middle of England and I got this tree from a lady in New Zealand.
Small world these days.
Chrystabel (Youden was my maiden name)

Nice to hear from you Dot. Sounds like we are some sort of cousins. Sorry I do not have anything further on Mary, maybe a connection with Bull Cove? I'v seen messages from Youden's regarding Bull Cove, though I'm not sure where exactly it is.
Interesting that you are from Scotland as my Grandfather Fred Youden was from Glasgow. His father John had a business there.

I am looking for information on Bull Cove and came across your inquiry. Bull Cove is located in Newfoundland and Labrador... a province of Canada. It is an abandonded community where it is rumoured to have had a Navigational School. It is located between Brigus and Georgetown... there is susposed to be an overgrown path to the community.
My husband and I threaten to hike it oneday. There are Youden's in the community of Brigus.

We own a historical home in Brigus as our Summer Residence and when doing window repairs a man named James Youden was doing historical carpentry and he did our new historical windows... He lived near St. John's, the Capitol City. He was in his 60's at the time ( ~10 yrs ago). He told us his family was from Brigus and originally from Bull Cove.

The neighbours across the street are Youdens as well,, Very successful fishermen. I hope this information is helpful.

Thank you for your most interesting information.
My maiden name was Youden. My Youden's were from Dover. They certainly got around. My grandfather Charles Frederick YOUDEN went to Australia before the first world war. My grandmother was to follow with my father when he was a little older. Before this could be the war started and grandad and one of his brothers who had also emigrated joined the army. Grandad was killed at Galipoli, his brother survived and I am in contact with second and third cousins there.

Hi

Just finished researching family tree in relation to John Kingsford (1511 AD) who is 12 genration back from me via Youden's of Kent on my mother's side. My Great Grand Father was Cecil Osmund Youden, of Kingsdown, East Kent. 3 generations before that was Thomas Youden and his wife Ann Kemp! Ann Kemp's family then dates back to 1690's to a John Kemp and his wife Jane Kingsford. Jane then dates back to John Kingsford Sr of Ham, Kent (1511 AD). Got the info from
Anthony Bishop and Harry Lee via an Australian Internet set. It has an amazing database and tree of the Kingsford, YYouden line.
There are certainly alot of peeps in the family tree! :-)
