Re: Yoselowitz from Russia
I do not know if this will be any help, or if this is even related in any way, but my great grandmother's name was Anna Yoselowitz. I do not remeber who she married, but he was a widow or had divorced his first wife. They came to America with only two children that I know of, Sarah and Louis. Louis was 2 and from the previous marraige and fell out a window and died. He is buried on Staten Island, the name of the cemetary escapes me. So is Anna Yoselowitz and her husband (name escapes me). They had two more children along with Sarah, George and Ida (my grandmother). All three are still alive. Sarah lives in Texas, George in NJ and Ida in NY.

I know your post was along time ago, but I've only just begun to trace my family tree. My name is Anthony Marsh (born Anthony Langford)and it is very likely we are related. Marks Solomons married Miriam ? and had 8 children. the second of whom was Fanny. She married Issac Levy, and they had 5 children, one of whom was my maternal grandmother Florrie (m Barnie Joseph), who turn had two daughters Nesta, and my mother Rita. My father Harold Langford was the grandson of Sarah Wolfson (nee Solomons), the third child of Marks & Miriam Solomons. I have a very basic family tree put together in 1990 by another relative, Lester Marks. If I am right, did you manage to trace the family history in any greater detail?

Re: Yoselowitz from Russia
So, I've just begun to research my mom's family. Their surname was Yoseloff and they were from Minsk. Her grandfather's first name was Morris,he was born around 1873, immigrated here in 1910, and lived in Mason City, Iowa. We figure Yoseloff could have been changed from so many different names, one of them Yoselowitz. Does this ring any bells? Thanks....
