YORK
A.J. (Pete), 78, of Bethany, OK, died March 25, 2001.
He was born Jan. 24, 1923 to Jim T. and Ola M. (Savage)
York, in Tyler, TX. Mr York served with the 140th
Armored Field Division during World War II in Europe, the
Philippines, and in Japan. He was married to Adeline
Novotny on June 13, 1953. He retired after 43 years with
Young Exploration & Machine Shop. He was an avid
fisherman and loved to work in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers,
Dean, Clyde and Jim York. He survived by his wife,
Adeline; son Alvis and wife Sandy, grandsons, A.J., Jesse,
Cody and Buck, and granddaughter Kari, all of Ft Cobb, OK;
son Greg and fiancee Angela, Costa Mesa, CA; daughter
Patricia Johnson and grandson Glenn, Kilgore, TX; sisters,
Louise Burns, Tyler, TX and Valda Wade and husband Jesse,
Whitehouse, TX; brother Joe York and wife Mary, Troup, TX.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 28, at
Mercer-Adams Chapel, with interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

I also researched the father, Jim Tom YORK & Ola Mae (Savage) York.
They were located on a couple of census in TX & OK. This photo &
obit have been added 2 his findagrave.com memorial also. Hope this
