Hey baby,
I didn't figure it out until last night that I'm your aunt Beverly. How have you been? And the kids? Your mom and brothers?
I guess we both are interested in finding out about the Yorks since I too really don't have too much information about my dads extended family but whatever I do have I will be glad to share with you and hope you will do the same for me. I will be off and on most of the day so feel free to email me @
bdibiasi@yahoo.com.
P.S. you may want to e-mail your aunt Sharon @ sharon6016@aol.com since she now lives in Philadelphia just down the street from the reservation and works as an RN at the Indian hospital.
Lots of love
Aunt Beverly

HEY!!!!! I knew that was you :) Everyone here is ok I guess. We're all pulling together as much as possible. I'm not sure if Scott told you (no offense against him but I'm sure you understand) but Dad passed away August 17. Things have been a bit crazy around here since. My husband, I and the girls have moved in with Mom and the boys and are trying to get everyone back on our feets. It's so good to hear from you though. I've wondered how everyone was. I'm proud of Aunt Sharon and so glad to here she's doing well. I hope the rest of you are also. I honestly don't have much information. I was hoping you guys would but at the same time, Mom said you all were kind of young when your father passed so I wasn't real sure. I'm planning on starting school in January, however, and really needed assistance from Philadelphia but I have to research my background first. They've sent a form for me to fill out but there are SOOOO many blanks on there that I can't fill. They told me to mail a copy of my birth certificate and they'd research it but the problem is that since Dad adopted Jeremy and I, I don't have an original birth certificate.

I'm writing a book here so I guess I'll go but my e-mail address is LLV79@aol.com. Please e-mail sometimes and keep in touch. I'd love to know how you all are :)

Thanks,

Lora Leigh

Its been several years since your post so I'm not sure if your still into this. I'm looking for information on Amos York, role # 993. I believe he was from Cartiage?, MS then "relocated" to Marlow, OK. He was married to Bell Josha. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Shane. I am responding to a very old message that was written about 3 yrs ago so yuou may never see this. But I read that you live in the OKC area. So I was hoping yuo could help me. I live in Lawton and my grandmother had a relationship with a George William York around 1956 or so. It resulted in the birth of twins, my mother and uncle. Anyways my grandmother was married to someone else so he was never talked about and she never told us any more about him. My grandmother and mother have since past on so I am trying to find the other half of my family on my own. You had said you had acsess to records in the OKC area that is why I am writting. Please help if you can...

Hi! Reba Hall here and I live in Duncan, OK. I know there were Choctaw York's living in Marlow, OK. Can't give you much information but thought I'd toss that out in case you were not aware of it. I know we have a homestead patent for a Minnie York (I think that was the name). We have a genealogy library in Duncan and are open 6 days a week 9-5 (including Saturdays). We are located at 301 North 8th. Come by and see if we can help you find out anything. We have good volunteers and are always ready to help anyone if we can. The Oklahoma Historical Society also has all the Indian enrollment cards. We have a full set of the Pioneer Papers with index. Let me know if I can answer any other questions. Our phone number is 580-255-8718.
