I am the son of a Willard B. Yorgey from Allentown. He lived in Alton Park. He died in 1977 at the age of 55. I am looking for some history of my father and his ancestory.

John: I am reading thru the messages on Ancestry and came across your message from 8 years ago. Your father, Willard B. Yorgey Jr. was my half-brother. We shared the same father, W.B.Yorgey Sr., born in Coopersburg, PA 16 May 1899.
I had met your sister Ronell only twice in my life. A fiery rredhead if I remember correctly. Since this is an old email address, I will wait for a response before getting into the nitty-gritty

Good Morning,

I have been going through my attic and reading a number
of letters I received from Roscoe B. Yorgey of Carlisle, Pa.
Would you be a member of his family?

As a young boy I was a collector of U.S. Navy ship matchbook covers and Mr. Yorgey and I traded matchbook covers from about 1954, when I was just 12 years old and living in Hawaii, until I joined the Navy in 1960. While I never met Mr. Yorgey, I treasured his letters and have always appreciated the time he gave to me as a young boy. He was always more than generous and sent me more matchbook covers than I was ever able to send to him.

I believe his personality, good will, and generosity is reflected in hisletters.
Would anyone in your family be interested in having copies of the two dozen or so letters that he sent to me?

Best regards,
