I found some more information last night. It appears that Ellen (20), Bridgett (11), Anne (10), Patrick (9), John (8) left Liverpool in Nov 1849 and arrived in Boston Feb 6 1849 on the Ship Bay State (Liverpool to Boston). Anne died in April of 1849 of dysentery.

It looks like Mary was born in 1850 and came to Boston in 1855. I am going to find that passenger list to see if the rest of the family was on that ship.

Thankyou so much for your reply.
This John Yore I am speaking of married Margaret Finnegan, please have a look at my family tree 'Yores of Tamborine'.
I have a very extensive tree prepared by a cousin who is a priest and spent time in Ireland.
Do you have a tree?
Regards
Mary-ann

Hi Mary-Ann -
My tree is the Morgan-Hoy tree. Ellen Yore (b. abt 1831) in Meath was my gg grandmother. Her father was John (b. abt. 1810). He married Ann Barrett. Ellen had a brother John (b. abt. 1839). It looks like a different Yore family?
