Further information has been found on Anna YOPS, my grandmother. She was born in Canjoharie, NY in Jume of 1862. She was the daughter of John YOPS and Catherin ??.
John and Catherin were both born in Hessen-Darmstadt, Prussia. The 1860 census suggests that John was born in 1815, and Catherin in 1820. They appear to have had at least six children, Maryetta, George, John, Kenny, Anna and Catherin, who were twins and born in Cnajoharie, NY. If you have any information on any members of this family, I would appreciate any leads you would share.
Thanks,
Don Michel
