Surnames:
Jane YOPP and Tubman MANKIN were the parents of John MANKINS who was married to Masa DELAWARE in 1760 in Maryland (Port Tobacco, Charles, Maryland area???) Masa died in Kentucky in July 1844.
John MANKINS & Masa had two children: Walter MANKINS (m. Millie Stalcup (b. circa 1780) and Peter MANKINS (b. 9/19.1770).
Do any of these names look familiar to you. Any information would be appreciated.

Surnames:
Masa's last name wasn't Delaware. She was a Delaware Indian, a branch from the Cherokee. Not much is known of her.

Actually Masa was of the Lenni Lenape tribe that settled along the Delaware River.
The Lenape "blended into the Cherokee". The are enumerated as Cherokee in the Oklahoma move.
