My GreatGrandmother was named Christinana Yoos Born 1868 in Germany and died 1942 in Philadelphia PA. Married Willhelm Eitle in Phila prior to 1883 (They imigrated then). Is this part of your family ?

Do not recognize the names. My grandfather George Yoos immigrated from Germany also. I don't know to much about our family history ,just starting to look recently. Grandfather married Catherine Ade. Other names in family were Simon. If I ever come across your grandmothers or grandfathers name in my quest I will e-mail you.

I do not know much about the Yoos family my father,Ralph, only has one brother named Robert and their father was Earl. His had o few siblings. I only knew his older sister, Grace. I believe it was my great-grandfather, which would have been Earl's father, that brought his family to the United States from Germany in the late 1800's. I did not know that any other Yoos's existed in the U.S. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I saw your message avout Earl Yoos. If it's the same as I believe, then we are related. My husband's (mother's maiden name was Yoos), Markle, Indiana. Donna Jeanne Yoos' father was Raymond Yoos. Earl was Raymond's brother. The family did come from Germany. Julius Yoos is the great grandfather from Germany, somewhere in the black forest area. I remember mom had a letter or two from Germany. We have several letters from Julius Yoos written in the "old" German, which I am in the process of having translated. I am starting a family history and have many names and dates. There are also other relatives in the surrounding Indianapolis area and Markle who hold pieces to this search. Donna Jeanne Yoos, Raymond's daughter married a Brooks. Hope this helps. Let me know. The Julius name sounds a bit familiar and my grandad's, Earl's, sister Grace lived in Markle, IN for many years and she died there about 10 or 12 years ago. I remember it because my dad said that i was too young to go with him to the funeral. Keep in touch.

I received your message. I will have to search for any/all newspaper clippings I might have. It may take me a little while to see if I have the information you are seeking. Burial sites quite possibly here in Indiana. Email me directly at susan.brooks2@worldnet.att.net
