We have an Absolom Yonally in our line. However we have his birthdate as August 10, 1798 in Frederick CO., Virginia and died February 16, 1882 in Ohio. What information are you looking for on him?
Sincerly,
Stephanie

I have been researching the Yonally family in Ohio, Virginia and Pennsylvania. I am descended from Absalom's oldest known daughter Lydia who married John Day in Belmont County, Ohio.
There is only one male in Virginia that is unaccounted for who appears on the tax and census lists besides Thomas, and that is David Yonley. I have been trying to link David with Absalom and Thomas for some time. He disappears about the time that a parent might pass away so I am leaning toward him being a parent. There is no will, land transfer or estate found in Hampshire County. Also Absalom had a son named David, which did not fit the Quaker naming patterns in his wife Rebecca Lupton's family line (daughter of Jesse Lupton and Rebecca George. I also have a sketchy sibling list for Absalom taken from Quaker records, tax lists and census information.
The records in Hampshire County are scarce, but can narrow down relationships if one is willing to pick things apart. Let me know if you need any further information.

My great great grandfather was Adniram/Adaniram Yonally/Yonley, born in Belmont Co, 3-10-1847.
he married Sarah E. Gilham 2/18/1869. They had at least four children: Clarkson, Izora, Ora, and Marion Levi.
Izora Anna Yonley was my great grandmother, and married William Johnston. I have found a Web page that traces some lines of Sarah E. Gilham's ancestors back as far a 1646. But I cannot uncover who may have been the parents of Adniram Yonley (spellings?) I would like to think that Adniram is related to the other Yonallys in Belmont Co, (eg. Absalom and Solomon). It appears that Adniram and Sarah lived their entire lives in Belmont and or Monroe Co.

However Izora was born in Bates Co. Missouri (on the Kansas border) in 1872. I suspect this may be because Adniram and Sarah accompanied Solomon Yonley, son of Absolom, to Kansas around that time (1871-72). In fact, Solomon's daughter Sarah(?) may also have been born in 1872, only she was born in nearby Kansas. If that is indeed the case, and it is the only plausible explanation I can come up with for why Izora was born in Missouri yet all her siblings were born in Ohio, I can only guess that Adniram and Sarah only were helping Solomon Yonally move to Kansas but never intended to remain there themselves, or they got to Kansas, did not like it, and went back to Belmont Co. Ohio.

Had you ever heard of Adniram prior to this? I never have seen him listed on any of the other Web pages that include Yonallys/Yonleys from Belmont Co. OH.

Any insight or speculation would be greatly appreciated.
