Searching for information on Anna YONALLY (I'm told she was French Canadian) and her family. Anna YONALLY married William Johnston about 1890 or thereabouts, lived in southern Ohio, had 3 daughters and 2 sons, that I know of. One son, Clarence, was born in 1896. If anyone has information regarding above, please contact by e-mail at: F86Brat1@aol.com Thank you.

I have quite a bit of Yonally information. I'm convinced all Yonallys are related. Perhaps you could give me some more information and I could see where Your Anna fits in the tree.

Thank you for your response to my post re
Anna YONALLY. I have so very little information about her. To confirm and add to information in my original post: She was French (French Canadian, I believe), she married William Johnston in late 1800's (my grandfather Clarence Everett was born in 1896 in southern Ohio, his sisters were all older than he, and I'm not sure of his brother's age). As a child I met two of his sisters who were fairly old by then and whose names I can't remember, and they still lived in southern Ohio. My grandfather and another sister named Shelly lived with their families in Ashtabula County, Ohio, on Lake Erie. This sister married a Massie. That's all I have. Not much to go on. I do thank you for any information you might have.

Hi, again. My father tells me that he believes our Anna was spelled "Yonley".
Would you know if Yonally and Yonley are the same family? I find plenty of Yonallys but no Yonleys. Thanks for any help you can give.

I have seen it spelled Yonley, but I can only remember seeing it that way on census forms, so it could have been misspelled. I think I can remember seeing the Yonley name at Family Tree Maker: http://www.familytreemaker.com/iffintro.html

Surnames: Yonally/Yonley
I am a descendant of the brother of your William. His wife's name was Izora Ann Yonley and she was the daughter of Adniram Yonley. I am also descended from Absalom Yonally which has also been spelled Yonley. They came from Switzerland it is presumed in the early 1700's and settled in PA and then travelled into VA settling in the Frederick and Loudoun Counties. We have reason to believe that Adniram is somehow related to my Absalom, but it is as yet unclear how. I have information on the William Johnston line as well if you are interested.

Surnames: George, Yonally
My husband is a direct descendant of James George Sr. and Hannah Yonally of Frederick County, Virginia. I know nothing about her or her history. The only thing I know is that they were married around 1800. I have a record of her children and their birth info. but I'm not sure all of them are correct.

James is the brother of Rebecca George who married Jesse Lupton. Their daughter married a Yonley. That's about as much as I have on her.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Sheryl

I have in my Yonally family records an Izora Anna Yonally born March 21, 1872. The census records list her as being born in Missouri. I have her married to William Johnson. Her father was Abniram Yonally. We cant quite make out the connection to Absolom Yonally. But they did live in the same area of Ohio as Absolom in the 1880 census. I do have more information on the decendants of Abniram if you are interested and some speculations on the relationship to Absolom.

Izora Anna was my great grandmother. I have the same info as you, that she was born in 1872 in Missouri. I have a list of her children, of whom one was my grandmother. I also have a few photos. The man she married is William Johnston, not Johnson. see: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/5010657/family?fpid=-14895514...

I too am curious about whether there are other connections to the Belmont County Yonallys.
